What did you do this past week?

This past week, I’m not really sure what I’ve been doing. Looking back, it felt like the whole week I was just in a sort of a flow, going from one task to the next without much conscious attention paid to anything.

What’s in your way?

On Friday night, my friend finally got her work authorization papers so we went out to celebrate. I may have celebrated a little too hard and had to spend most of Saturday recovering from my celebration.

What will you do next week?

Next week, I will finish Darwin with my partner who is hard smurfing on the assignment.

If you read it, what did you think of the Dependency Inversion Principle?

I have not read the paper on the dependency inversion principle yet.

What was your experience of vector, copy constructor, and copy assignment? (this question will vary, week to week)

Vectors seem to be a very useful data structure in C++ as they are malleable in size. I think that I still have some understand to do for copy constructors and copy assignment but once they become clear to me I am sure that they will help me have a better grasp of object oriented programming.

What made you happy this week?

This week, when in a call with someone that I knew, another friend called her and she added said third friend into the call and it turns out, it was someone that I also knew but had fallen out of touch with for a bit, a happy coincidence. This random event led to me catching up with the friend that I had fallen out of touch with which was really nice.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

My tip of the week is not to forget when assignments are due. I have been in this class for many weeks and also took Software Engineering with Glenn last semester yet somehow, last week, I thought that the paper and blog were due at midnight rather than 10 p.m. so I started them both at 11. Figuring out that they were not in fact due at midnight made me very sad because my brain is smooth. Don’t be dumb like me.
