What did you do this past week?

This past week I have just been acting as mediator in a number of events and conflicts as well as try to balance my own personal life and school.

What’s in your way?

This week my life was super chaotic because of a lot of unexpected surprises. This took a lot of energy out of my and sucked up a lot of my time which made is much harder for me to focus and concentrate of schoolwork, completing projects, and other responsibilities that I have.

What will you do next week?

This next week I will try to get back on top of things, resume working out, wrap up a few projects that I have just guiltily left dangling even though it would be so quick and simple to close them out, and just try to get some rest.

If you read it, what did you think of the Why getter and setter methods are evil?

I have not read Why getter and setter methods are evil yet but I am about to. I hope that along with telling us why the getter and setter methods are bad, the paper also teaches us what a good alternative design choice is.

What was your experience of vector, move constructor, move assignment, and allocator? (this question will vary, week to week)

I have a decently good understanding of vectors and allocators by now due to previous cs371p projects however, move constructors and move assignments are still something that confuses me a bit and gives me trouble. I am sure they are very important and have a specific and useful purpose, I just haven’t completely grasped it yet.

What made you happy this week?

This week not a lot made me notably happy. I guess that I got some more rest and spent more time in bed but that was because I was very tired every day. I’m happy that the week is over but next week I expect to be equally chaotic and busy so we will just have to endure.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

My tip of the week is to use tmux to persist terminal sessions over ssh. It is super convenient and useful.
